Adult/Non-traditional
students
The comprehensive statement for the Summer Session, including policies on
credit loads, drop/add dates, room and board charges, and the like is the
Summer Bulletin, distributed to adult students in March, just prior to registration.
Additional copies are available in the SCE Office and the Registrars
Office. A preliminary schedule is available in both offices in early December.
For most adults, Summer study is a regular component of your annual plan: over 50% of our continuing adult students take Summer courses. You obtain your Summer Bulletin in the same manner as traditional students, and your Summer registration also begins April 14. Your tuition, however, carries through the charge for the regular semesters (see below), so that the SIG program does not apply to you. But adult students in need can apply for Adult Access Awards of $78, $56, or $35 per credit, according to SCE need guidelines, and the new Summer OIG eligibility applies to you as well. (If you already have an Adult Access award for 2007-08, it applies to the Summer Session at these new rates).
New adult students: Summer is as good a term as any to begin your Wittenberg studies. Summer is particularly helpful for Education students in getting a quick start on their required courses. To apply, use the regular Adult Admission form.
