The purpose of the Chemistry Club is to bring about chemistry awareness and make people believe that chemistry isn't scary. We host ice cream socials in the spring and fall where we make homemade ice cream using liquid nitrogen to freeze it. No, it isn't poisonous, it's fantastic! We also host Girl Scout Science Night where girl scouts from the Springfield area come to Wittenberg and get a taste for the sciences through fun demonstrations. We will also provide activities for National Science Week and Mole Day including field trips and parties.
Membership: All students are welcome, and we encourage non-chemistry majors to join as well.

The purpose of the East Asian Studies Club is to increase and strengthen the awareness of East Asia among Wittenberg students. It provides students who have an interest in East Asia with the opportunity to gather and socialize, draws students from East Asia into a closer relationship with American students, brings attention to the presence of the East Asian academic program on the Wittenberg campus and sponsors East Asian programming through films, speakers and exhibits.
Activities Include: Moon Viewing Festival, Chinese New Year Dinner, East Asian Studies Banquet, Hanimi Spring Festival, East Asian Professors Brunch/Luncheon, East Asian Cuisine trips and a film series.

The Economics Club will conduct activities conducive to the goals of the Economics Department, to promote and foster the study of economics, to aid current economics majors along various lines and to enlighten the student body about economic issues.

The purpose of MAAWUC is to provide a forum for the discussion of mathematical topics, to assist its members in locating and obtaining undergraduate and graduate opportunities in the field of mathematics, and to encourage interaction among individuals with an interest in mathematics.

The purpose of this organization is to compete in annual National competitions as well as periodic invitational tournaments. The Wittenberg Mock Trial Association seeks to instill in its members the skills of appropriate trial litigation, sportsmanlike conduct, and a chance to experience the qualities of a legal career.
Membership: Open to all Wittenberg students. Attendance at all meetings/practices is expected. All members are expected to maintain a GPA of 2.5 and officers a 2.75.

This organization involves students interested in the health sciences, including pre-med, pre-vet, pre-dentistry, pre-nursing, pre-optometry, etc., and helps prepare them for their futures. We take field trips to Pre-Vet and Pre-Med conferences and bring in a variety of Health Care specialists to speak to the club on a panel.
We work with the area hospitals, we organize First Aid and CPR certification classes, we hold Disease and Disability forums, and we do our best to educate others on campus about health-related issues.

The objectives of the Society of Physics Students are to encourage and assist students interested in physics, to develop the knowledge, competence, enthusiasm and social responsibility that is essential to the advancement of physics, and to provide a liaison between students and the member societies of the American Institute of Physics.
Activities Include: They are tailored to the interests of members and have included construction of a K'nex rollercoaster, radio telescopes, and ongoing work on the Foucault Pendulum housed in the science center. Trips to King's Island and COSI have been held to experience science outside of Wittenberg. Mythbuster marathons are held each term, and hands-on physics demonstrations are created as part of the annual Girl Scout Science Night.
Membership: The Society of Physics Students has open membership and is not limited to physics majors.
Sociology Club

The purpose of the Sociology Club is to plan events incorporating both sociology majors/minors and those simply interested in sociology. This club serves as a support group for those studying sociology – often providing advice to under-classmen on internships, classes, local jobs, et cetera. It is also very informative to freshman and sophomores whom have not yet declared a major and are searching for their academic direction. However, we encourage non-majors and minors to join as well. In addition, the club tackles several social justice issues and works to improve social relations at Wittenberg. The group brings social awareness to the forefront.
Activities Include: The North Central Sociological Association Conference, intellectual discussion, speakers and presentations that we feel represent the direct interests of the student body – perhaps in experimenting with sociology and a sample of majors and minors, we may find what topics students would enjoy for colloquia. Meetings are held weekly or monthly, depending on upcoming events.

This purpose of this organizatrion is to hold, manage, and produce works for independent dance exhibitions/performances as well as to promote interest and knowledge of dance on campus and the greater Springfield community. Once a year the group attends the American Collge Dance Festival to take classes from professors of dance from other colleges and universities.

Wittenberg Astronomical Society (WAS) is a club of all types of people from the Wittenberg community that enjoy looking at the sky. Whether it is finding out where the planets are in the sky, or trying to take a picture of a far-off galaxy, they try to do it all.
Activities Include: Observing dark sky sights and trips to all types of places where people can gain knowledge of astronomy and have fun in the process.
Membership: Membership is open to everyone in the Wittenberg community.

Wittenberg University Speleological Society (Caving Club)

The Wittenberg University Speleological Society (WUSS) is a chartered, internal organization of the National Speleological Society (NSS). Like the NSS, WUSS dedicates its time to ensure that caves are discovered, explored and protected. WUSS takes many trips during the year, offering special opportunities for both the novice and the experienced caver. Expose yourself to caving!
Activities Include: Exploration, conservation, surveying and photography within caves. Caving trips include camping, hiking and enjoying the company of fellow WUSS members outside the cave. Also, the Caving Club instructs members in rappelling and climbing.
Membership: Open membership. No experience is necessary to join and equipment and training are provided.
