College Democrats
President: Hannah Johnson, s09.hjohnson
Adviser: Rob Baker, Professor of Political Science
Office Phone: 327-6105

As members of the College Democrats of America, it is the mission of the College Democrats at Wittenberg to discuss, publicize and promote the ideals of the Democratic Party. The group educates and assists fellow students in understanding the political process more clearly and, most importantly, gets students involved in the entire political process. This is done through various activities on and off campus.

Activities Include: Voter registration, debates, and hosting speakers. Besides handling the weekly business activities of the club, members discuss and debate current political issues at weekly meetings. The club also works to help elicit support for local and national Democratic candidates, along with attending functions in their support. The club maintains close association with the College Democrats of America as well as the Ohio Young Democrats and the Clark County Democratic Organization and attends their annual conventions during spring term.

Membership: Open to all.

Each spring, the club attends state and national conservative conferences, holds a conservative week on campus and hosts a major speaker. Past speakers include Oliver North, Reginald Jones, Star Parker and most recently, Ann Coulter. The College Republicans club is a chartered member of the Ohio and National College Republicans.
