Fraternities and sororities have
been an integral part of student life at Wittenberg since 1866. Greek-letter organizations
were founded on the ideals of leadership, scholarship, community service and friendship,
timeless values which continue to be strived for today.
Fraternities and sororities foster student involvement
and personal development by providing opportunities for self-governance, leadership,
community service, financial management and career networking with alumni.
The primary membership recruitment period, Formal Rush,
occurs during January; however, chapters may take new members at other times. First year
and transfer students must wait until second semester, attain a minimum 2.25 GPA, and have
completed 16 credit hours in order to participate in rush.
