Concerned Black Students

CBS was founded in 1969 during the modern Civil Rights Movement. Its purpose is to increase cultural awareness and campus unity through programs featuring multicultural speakers, theatrical groups, and concerts. Annual activities include CBS's Walk-Out, Spring Formal, Winter Weekend, and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day March.

Imani Gospel Choir

Wittenberg's Gospel Choir, appropriately named IMANI (Kishwahili word meaning "faith") provides an outlet for students to express their spiritual selves in a way not found in other musical organizations on campus. IMANI perfoms on and off campus at special gatherings, schools, and churches throughout the academic year.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc
    Omicron Theta Chapter

On February 28, 1981 fourteen women chartered the 678th chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. at Wittenberg University. It was and still remains the only chartered Historically Black Greek Letter sorority at the university. Activities sponsored by the sorority include their Food and Clothing Drive for needy families, Talent Extravaganza in honor of a deceased sorority sister, and Virtuous Woman mentoring program for young women from area high schools.

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
   Mu Xi Chapter

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. was chartered in 1986 here at Wittenberg University. Founded with the objective to unite college men, encourage honorable achievement, promote the welfare of others, assist the aims of colleges and universities, and inspire to service in the public interest, the men of Mu Xi have lived up to their ideals. Annual events include their Miss Krimson and Kream, Halloween Activity Day, Kwanzaa Celebration, and Unity March Stepshow.

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
    Zi Chi Chapter

Founded in 1906 at Cornell University, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is recognized as both the oldest of the Historically Black Greek Letter Fraternities and, the newest addition to Wittenberg's Greek community. Founded in an endeavor to prepare men for the greatest usefulness in the cause of humanity, encourage the noblest form of manhood, and aid the downtrodden humanity, Wittenberg's members have already distinguished themselves as leaders of people on campus.
