Students will record all hours worked via a time card. Time cards will be signed by the student as well as the employer. Students employed under the FWSP use white time cards while all others use yellow time cards. Any falsification or "fudging" of time cards on the part of the employee is grounds for immediate termination of employment and releases Student Employment from any present or future employment obligations to the student. As a reminder, students are encouraged to work all awarded hours not to exceed 20 hours per week while classes are in session. Student employees are responsible for turning in an accurate and complete time card on or before the date specified by their department. Failure to do this may result in a delay in payment. Student Employment IS NOT responsible for delays caused by late, inaccurate or incomplete time cards.

IN THE EVENT A PAYCHECK IS LOST, THE STUDENT WILL BE CHARGED A $20 REPROCESSING FEE WHEN THE REPLACEMENT CHECK IS ISSUED. THERE WILL BE A WAITING PERIOD OF THREE (3) WORKING DAYS, AFTER THE BANK HAS BEEN NOTIFIED, BEFORE A CHECK WILL BE RE-ISSUED.

Wittenberg Student Employment utilizes a monthly pay schedule. Students are paid on the 15th of the month. For instance, compensation for hours worked in the month of October will be received on Nov. 15. Should the 15th fall on a Saturday, payment will be available on the preceding Friday. Should the 15th fall on a Sunday, payment will be made available on the following Monday. Every attempt will be made to have paychecks in the student mailboxes by noon on paydays.

Should a payment date fall on a break, the same policy will be followed. For instance, payment for work completed during November will be made available on Dec. 15. The Office of Student Employment will distribute these payments to the student's Wittenberg mailbox.

Wittenberg's Student Employment Office recognizes that many students use money earned on campus to pay for tuition. For this reason, students may complete a pay authorization form in the Student Employment Office, which authorizes earnings to be directly applied to the student's account. Students choosing to make a cash payment to their student account may do so at the Student Accounts Office or in the Student Center.
