Exporting Honor Springfield Ohio's Sweet Manufacturing Company was one of 32 Ohio companies honored this year with the "E" Award, recognizing excellence in exporting. Company President Alicia Sweet Hupp, '82, accepted the award during a Columbus ceremony. "In 1997, Ohio companies exported more than $27.2 billion worth of goods to nations around the world," said Ohio Governor George Voinovich during the ceremony. "I am pleased to present the Excellence in Exporting ... awards to these companies who have contributed to our success in the global marketplace," he said.
