Glaesner served as pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church in Springfield for 45 years. A retired Air Force colonel, he received the Legion of Merit Award. He was also president of the Ohio Mental Health Association for 10 years. In 1991 he was inducted into the Ohio Senior's Hall of Fame. The Class of 1914 Award "honors an individual from our community of alumni, faculty and staff who has served Wittenberg above and beyond what might be expected of any contributor to the college's welfare." McCoy, a 1957 Wittenberg graduate, has been an active member of the Springfield community his entire life. In 1995 he was elected to the Clark and Champaign Counties United Way Hall of Fame. In 1995 he became the driving force behind Wittenberg's Kiwanis Holiday Basketball Classic. Alumni membership is "bestowed upon those who have demonstrated a loyalty and devotion to Wittenberg that is exemplary to alumni." Pavlatos and her husband, Nicholas, a 1939 Wittenberg graduate, sent three children to the university. She has been a constant supporter of the annual Wittenberg Guild Style Show. Snyder, a 1944 Wittenberg graduate, was a part of the then-secret "Manhattan Project." A Hudson resident, she is principal of McDowell Elementary School and has been involved in a number of community activities and this spring she received the "Outstanding Child Advocate Award" from the PTA. Miller, a 1948 Wittenberg graduate, was a Lutheran pastor in Cicero, Ind., Niles, Ohio, and Columbus, Ind., before moving to Marinette, Wis. in 1966 where he served 30 years.
