Alumni email forwarding now available Wittenberg’s computing center now offers free e-mail forwarding for all Wittenberg alumni. When alumni move or change e-mail providers, they may experience an interruption in e-mail service and correspondence, explained Joseph Deck, director of computing services. “Basically, we’re offering to alumni the ability to use us for e-mail forwarding.” The service provides alumni with a permanent e-mail address, which Wittenberg can forward at the alumni’s request. The typical alumni e-mail address will contain the letter “s” for student, the student’s class year, first letter of his/her first name followed by the student’s full last name. Deck said it is hard to determine how many alumni have used this service since its introduction 18 months ago. “The 1998 and 1997 classes have this service automatically,” he said, adding that the classes prior to 1997 now have e-mail addresses.
