The Rev. Rachel Sandum Tune and the Rev. Anders S. Tune have been appointed as Wittenberg’s new Pastors to the University.

The Tunes are currently serving at Hope Lutheran Church in Annandale, Va., and they have previously served at parishes in Minnesota and Iowa.

Pastor Rachel Tune brings considerable experience in worship planning and preaching, in working with youth and young adults, and in educational and community service activities.

Pastor Andy Tune also has experience in designing and leading worship, in preaching, in visitation and in teaching, particularly at Trinity College and Catholic University of America, both in Washington, D.C.

Pastor Rachel Tune holds degrees from St. Olaf College and Luther Northwestern Theological Seminary. Pastor Andy Tune holds degrees from the University of California at Riverside, Luther Seminary and Catholic University of America.

In addition, Pastor Rachel has held several leadership roles within the synod, and Pastor Andy spent a year as a pastoral intern in Singapore and another as an assistant editor at Augsburg Publishing House.
