James L. and Mary Stull Gibbons, ’80, Olympia, WA, own The Heron, a 12-room inn in LaConner, WA. Jim owns a clam and oyster aquaculture business in the southern part of Puget Sound. Mary, who recently traveled to China as a visiting family medicine professor, has taken an extended sabbattical leave from her position at the University of Washington.
Julia Klink Ray received her master’s degree in elementary education in December 1997 from Southwest Texas State University, San Marcos, TX. She teaches fifth grade with the Leander Independent School District, Austin, TX.
Jeanne Whiting Brewster, Trinidad, CO, died May 31, 1997. A former house counselor with Alta Vista, she is survived by her husband and three daughters.
Robert J. and Deborah Verrill Brooker live in Plymouth, MN. Robert is a professor in the Department of Genetics, Cell Biology and Development at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. He is the author of a recently published genetics textbook, Genetics: Analysis and Principles.
On Aug. 14, 1998, Holly R. Martin received her master’s of education degree from Xavier University, Cincinnati, OH. She is a pre-primary Montessori teacher with the Dayton (OH) Public Schools.

Geoffrey P. Thurman, a songwriter in Murfreesboro, TN, has published nearly 1,000 songs.
