Wittenberg’s logo has been updated in honor of the “Defining Moments Campaign: Wittenberg at the Millennium,” a three-year fund-raising effort to raise $70 million, which officially kicked off Oct. 23 in Springfield.
The logo now combines the familiar Wittenberg Gothic logo with a modern stylized rendering of the Myers Hall cupola.
Lipman Hearne, one of the nation’s leading marketing and communications consulting firms based in Chicago, designed the logo last year. Rendered in a more abstract manner, the cupola is meant to represent the heart and spirit of the University.
The new logo also epitomizes the spirit of the campaign-to protect the Wittenberg tradition while strengthening and updating its capabilities for a new century.
The most ambitious fund-raising effort in Wittenberg’s history, the “Defining Moments Campaign” has recently passed the halfway mark by securing gifts and pledges exceeding $35 million.
