Alumni return to campus to celebrate Homecoming 1999
Despite the drizzle, alumni, current students and community members participated
in a variety of events throughout the weekend, including Alumni Careers Day,
the Homecoming Parade, theatrical performances and a host of athletic events.
Tiger fans also cheered the football team to victory during its game against
Denison, Oct. 9, which the Tigers won 42-7.
Also during the weekend, the Wittenberg Alumni Association and the Department
of Athletics inducted Lloyd Ball ’74, Pam Evans-Smith ’82, Herman
Rearick ’31 (posthumously) and Hal Theis ’66 to the Athletic Hall
of Honor.
Concerned Black Students also celebrated its 30 years at Wittenberg, and
the classes of 1993 and 1994 enjoyed their fifth reunion.
Several intercollegiate teams also sponsored alumni games, including men’s
and women’s lacrosse, men’s soccer and baseball.
