Alumnus to assist alumni relations, Wittenberg Fund
Chad Minnick ’98 has been named the assistant director for alumni relations and The Wittenberg Fund.
A native of Fort Wayne, Ind., Minnick majored in psychology at Wittenberg and was a varsity swimmer. He was also one of the founding fathers of Lambda Chi Alpha, when the fraternity began its re-colonization efforts in 1994.
Minnick said he is looking forward to working at Wittenberg. “I’m very excited about this opportunity to give back to an institution that gave so much to me,” he said.
As the assistant director, Minnick will work with Wittenberg’s Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) program, supervise the Phonathon and assist with Senior Circle.
He will also play an active role in alumni programming for such annual events as Homecoming, Alumni Weekend, and the Springfield and Columbus luncheon series.
“My goal is to raise awareness of what it means to be an alumna/us of Wittenberg,” Minnick said. “The possibilities are endless for Wittenberg alumni, and to me, being an alum has always meant more than just being able to wear the T-shirt.”
Minnick previously worked in the Office of Admission at Wilmington College. He and his wife, Shannon Casey Minnick ’00, live in Springfield.
