David W. and Margery Nimmer Markowich live in Columbus, OH. After 15 years of service, Dave retired as associate pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Upper Arlington, OH. He had been in the ministry for a total of 38 years.

Neal R. Boese ’64S, Covington, KY, completed 36 years of ministry, serving congregations in Texas, Nebraska, Michigan and Kentucky. He was also a partner in mission for the ELCA and wrote three books on outreach. He teaches with the Indiana-Kentucky Synod and also serves as concert manager for Joseph Pokorski, a Broadway performer who sings in churches throughout the United States.

Elmer E. ’64S and Kay Marshall Burrall ’50 live in Hot Springs Village, AR. They have served as missionaries and in the pastoral ministry of the Lutheran Church in India, Ohio, Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Papua New Guinea. Elmer and Kay recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

John D. Jr. and Carol Farwig Martin, Cohasset, MA, recently spent two weeks in Barlad, Romania as part of a Global Volunteers team that cared for neglected infants and toddlers in a country hospital.

Ervin M. Jr. and Connie Swartz Zitlow live in Powell, OH. Ervin is a deputy director of human resources for Ohio’s Division of Youth Services and serves on the board of the Ohio Industry for the Handicapped. Connie is a professor of education at Ohio Wesleyan University, Delaware, OH, and president of the Assembly on Literature for Adolescents of the National Council of Teachers of English.
