October 24, 2000 was proclaimed George R. Henkle Day by the mayor of Lebanon, OH. The former president of G. Henkle Inc., George was honored for his many successful years serving the community.

’40
Doris Sturm Stroebel founded and directed the St. Andrews Singers, a contemporary youth choir from First Lutheran Church, Wapakoneta, OH, that performed statewide for 20 years.

’42
Warren I. “Swede” and Patricia Sims Thomas are retired and live in Ft. Myers, FL. Swede was director of career development at Kalamazoo (MI) College. Pat was a homemaker.

’47
George N. Smith is retired and lives in Philadelphia, PA. He was a vice president of engineering with American Motors.
