Editor’s Note: The following was received by the Office of Admission.
Last year at this time, my son, Tim, was busy preparing his college applications, obtaining teacher recommendations, etc. Tim applied to numerous colleges, but after visiting Wittenberg, it became his No. 1 choice.
Tim returned home a few weeks ago for his fall break. As Tim was home, we had the opportunity to not only talk with him, but also with his friends who are attending other colleges. Hearing the numerous children/parents who are unhappy with their choices is the reason for my letter.
I cannot express to you how grateful we are that Wittenberg was Tim’s choice. It is everything that you said it would be! On several occasions, during the past few months, I have had to contact various departments at Wittenberg. I always received a friendly, courteous response to my questions or concerns. Additionally, if a response wasn’t immediately available, I received a phone call from your college soon after my initial request.
Also let me add that the little things you do for the parents, like the magnet calendar, may seem small to some people but certainly is a great way to see at a glance when Tim will be home again.
All too often we forget to just say “thanks.” Please extend my appreciation to you and your staff for everything you have done to make my son’s college life exactly what we had hoped it would be — Wonderful!
