James is a design artist for the College of Dentistry at the University of Iowa. Pat, a publication designer for the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, designed the book, IOWA-Portrait of the Land, which received the 2001 “Outstanding Publication Award” from the Association of Earth Science Editors.
