From leading crowds in cheers to making little ones laugh, the Tiger mascot remains a beloved campus fixture. The years have taken a toll on the mascot, however, which is why alumni have joined together to save the striped star. Sponsored by the Office of Alumni Relations, the Save-the-Tiger campaign has raised close to $560 toward new Tiger threads thanks to a photo fund-raiser. About 120 people, including alumni board members Sarah Burns Blume ’83, above left, Doug Kentfield ’78, Stacy Rastauskas ’98 and Maryrose Preisel ’83, have posed with the Tiger since August 2003.
