Service Learning Students Spend Spring Break Assisting Nicaragua Community
On April 14, Concerned Black Students (CBS) sponsored its annual Unity March,
developed in an effort to promote interracial unity.
CBS also held its annual walkout at 10:20 a.m., April 23, to commemorate those African American students who left Wittenberg to protest the discriminatory treatment they were experiencing on campus 35 years ago.
Participants walked out of class and silently walked through the academic and administrative buildings before gathering on Stoughton Lawn to acknowledge the struggles of those who paved the way before them.
