Located for years in the attic of 809 Woodlawn Ave., Wittenberg Police/Security relocated to the first floor of the Recitation Hall Annex in June.

The move comes in anticipation of a proposed new residence hall and the expansion of the plaza on Woodlawn Avenue. The new headquarters, which also house the switchboard and campus dispatch operators, now offers a walk-up window, allowing for one-on-one communication during lock-down hours.

The new location also increases each officer’s time on the streets and presents a strong police presence on the west side of campus, which is less populated during the evening, weekend and night hours.

In addition, the easily accessible office layout provides additional opportunities for expanded services and assistance to students, alumni, parents and campus visitors.
