Alumni Gather Around Country

Tiger alumni have enjoyed numerous events recently. Hosted by David Heckler '86, Pittsburgh alumni gathered for a minor league baseball game, middle left, despite being rained out in the seventh inning on Aug. 29.

In Washington, D.C., David Marks '04, top left, Julie Berschback '04 and Chad Riedy '03, joined more than 40 alumni for a presentation by Wittenberg Professor Emeritus of Political Science Richard Flickinger, Nov. 10 .

At the annual Witt-Woo game on Nov. 6, Interim President Bill Steinbrink '64, right, brought his family, including his daughter, her husband and two grandchildren to the traditional tailgate event. It's not just a school rivalry, but a family friendly one, too.

Weaver Chapel was chosen by the officers of the Class of 2005 as the 2.6” by 3.2”, solid brass, 24-carat gold-plated ornament.

The ornament makes a nice holiday decoration or a daily display piece. Proceeds go toward the class gift to the university.

Having Light, We Pass It On To Others

The Alumni Association is proud to offer the Wittenberg University Lamp exclusively to alumni and friends.

The official Seal of the university is richly detailed in gold on the black parchment shade, and proceeds from all sales will support scholarships for Wittenberg students.

Alumni Invited to Paris Summer Program

Leanne Wierenga, associate professor of languages, and Amy Livingstone, associate professor of history, have teamed up to teach a summer program in Paris, June 6-26, 2005.

Course instruction is entirely in English, and alumni are encouraged to participate.

In addition to studying French fairy tales and examining the history of French cathedrals and castles, participants will also have the opportunity to explore the wonders of the Loire Valley.

Trip to Bahamas Planned for Alumni

Join biology professors Ronald deLanglade and Tim Lewis for the inaugural alumni trip to San Salvador, The Bahamas, Feb. 5-12.

Activities will include morning and afternoon field trips to swim, snorkel and scuba dive, as well as visits to local sites of interest that showcase the island's beauty.
