Kristy Kohl McCready To Head Development Office for Area Hospital Kristy Kohl McCready ’01H, executive director of advancement, first arrived at Wittenberg in 1982. Such dedication quickly opened other doors, and McCready walked through many of them before settling into the Office of Advancement. For 19 years, McCready proved herself a successful fund-raiser and earned a well deserved reputation for her professionalism in planning and executing some of the institution’s most memorable events. As director of the Defining Moments Campaign, McCready led the effort to conclude and celebrate the largest fund-raising program in the university’s history. She also served as director of development and constituency relations and as director of The Wittenberg Fund, which topped the $1-million mark for the first time under her leadership. Now, after 22 years of service, McCready will take on a new role as the director of development at the newly merged Community Mercy Hospital in Springfield. “Kristy has displayed an extraordinary high level of dedication and commitment to Wittenberg, and she has distinguished herself in every position she has held,” said Charles Dominick, vice president for advancement. “I have truly valued her as a colleague, confidant and senior member of the advancement staff. Her creativity and talent will be dearly missed.”
