Tom was recently inducted into the Elkhart County Sports Hall of Fame for his 36-year service as a football coach and 19 years as head track coach at Elkhart and Elkhart Central High Schools. His many honors include being inducted into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame in 1994 and the Indiana Track Hall of Fame in 2001.
