Amy C. Andrews, who speaks five languages, teaches English as a second language in the Mesa Public Schools adult education program. Amy, of Chandler, Ariz., also teaches and performs belly dancing.

The Hamilton City School District’s Board of Education in Ohio has selected Michael R. Dellapina to serve as its athletics director.
Ronald W. Johnson was named head football coach at Middletown High School in Ohio.
A. Van Jordan, recipient of a 2004 Whiting Award, is the author of M-A-C-N-O-L-I-A, a cycle of poems about the life of the first African-American teenager to advance to the finals of the National Spelling Bee in 1936. In February, he was the featured poet with the Bronx Culture Trolley. He is currently an assistant professor at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Michael D. Lawrence is a staff judge advocate serving as a lieutenant commander with the U.S. Navy in Bahrain.
Aaron S. Luoma, who has taken many award-winning photographs in dozens of countries, was recently featured with his mother in an Akron Beacon Journal article. She mattes and frames his work to sell at art shows with a portion of the profits going to the Annunciation House, homeless shelters in El Paso, Texas, and Juarez, Mexico.
