Student Interns Gain Real-World Experience in City Managment
urrounded by decorations designed by Springfield-based Ambience, alumni recalled their fun times on campus, the friendships they made and the influence Wittenberg has had on their lives. Adding to the festivities were reunions for the classes of 1955, 1964-66 cluster, 1974-76 cluster, 1980 and 1995. Members of the championship football teams of 1962-64 and 1975 also reunited, and three professors took alumni back to the classroom during special classes on Friday. Additional activities included athletic competitions, the annual Homecoming Parade, Concerned Black Students-sponsored barbecue, Career Day, student research symposium and a theatre performance by The Second City. Tears and fond memories of longtime men’s athletics director, the late Robert Rosencrans ‘58, were also shared during the dedication of the new fitness center in his name (page 21). The university also honored eight alumni with special awards, all of whom are profiled in the Class Notes section.
