Around Myers Hollow
One of the oldest writing centers in Ohio, Wittenberg’s internationally accredited Writing Center served as the site for the area’s first-ever directors’ conference, Oct. 7. Twenty representatives from writing centers at schools and colleges across southwest and central Ohio spent the day at Wittenberg discussing best practices, space issues and online advising, among other topics. Schools represented include Miami University, Wright State University, University of Cincinnati, University of Dayton, Mount Saint Joseph College, Cedarville College, Ohio Dominican University, Clark State Community College, Sinclair Community College and Oakwood High School. “We have what I think is an exemplary, effective program, and we have a beautiful, well-planned space,” said Maureen Fry, director of Wittenberg’s Writing Center.
