In honor of the 50th anniversary of the dedication of Weaver Chapel and Thomas Library, the chapel will host a range of events throughout 2006-07 beginning with Homecoming Weekend.

From collecting stories of Weaver Chapel with Professor of History Thomas T. Taylor and chapel tours to a Festival of Hymns & History with former campus pastors, invited guests and The Wittenberg Choir, the Oct. 6-8 events will illustrate the chapel's unique role on campus throughout the years.

In addition, Shirley Dyer Wuchter '68, compiler of the posthumous collection of sermons by The Rev. Dr. Michael Wuchter '68, university pastor from 1979 to 1997, will host a book signing, and The Rev. Dr. H. Frederick Reisz will preach during Sunday's Celebration Worship Service.
