Benne Retires, Assists With Alumni Outreach Efforts
Ken Benne, director of alumni engagement, retired from his present
position following nearly 40 years of dedicated service to his alma
mater. Although Benne officially retired Jan. 31, he will continue to
be engaged with the university and assist Wittenberg in its alumni
outreach efforts as the special assistant for alumni engagement.
"I am personally excited about the opportunity to serve
Wittenberg in this new capacity," Benne said.
This part-time position allows the university to capitalize on Benne's vast knowledge
of the university's alumni, many of whom he recruited during his years in admission,
as well as his creativity and extensive background with strategic communications.
Linda Prain Beals '87, former associate director of admission and current director
of The Wittenberg Fund, has agreed to serve as the interim director of alumni
engagement.
