A number of new team members recently joined the Office of Advancement. David Long, director of development and alumni affairs, College of Business & Economics, at West Virginia University (WVU), has been named executive director of advancement, while Elizabeth Bonfield '87 has been tapped as the director of major gifts. Bonfield previously worked as assistant executive director and director of development for the Central Ohio Diabetes Association.

At the same time, Stephanie Clark recently became the new special gifts officer. Clark comes to Wittenberg after serving as property manager with Continental Real Estate in Orlando, Fla. In addition, Linda Prain Beals '87 will serve as the interim director of alumni engagement following the retirement of Ken Benne '68. Robert Gantt has joined the Office of University Communications as the assistant director of new media and campus photographer, while Lin Erickson is now the director of government, corporate and foundation relations, a position the university anticipated she would assume in conjunction with President Mark Erickson's tenure.

The new faces enhance the already rich talent pool in advancement, according to Bill Cloyd '90, vice president for university advancement.

"Each of these individuals brings a wealth of talent and energy to our team," Cloyd said. "When integrated with our existing team, we are building a fantastic foundation of professionals that will benefit Wittenberg in numerous capacities. Together, this team is making a difference at Wittenberg via strategic fund-raising, inspirational alumni-relations initiatives and high-quality communications."
