On May 28, eight Wittenberg interns and one from the University of Oregon officially became part of the Eau Claire County government in Eau Claire, Wisc., and the city of Chippewa Falls, as part of Wittenberg’s Local Government Management Intern (LGMI) program.

The only internationally backed undergraduate program of its kind, the nine-week program gives participants a hands-on learning experience in local government as it integrates classroom theory. The program was also featured on the local TV news shortly after the interns arrived.
