Desiring to provide parents with additional avenues for engagement with the university, the Office of Advancement recently launched its first Parents Leadership Circle with 12 founding members. The circle will complement the university’s already active Parents Executive Board and Parents Fund as it provides generous financial support to the university. Founding members include Doug ’79 and Valerie Chakeres Baker ’78. Jim ’75 and Jennifer Bauer Henson ’76, Tom and Melanie Murray, Steven and Nedra Preston, Alan ’69 and Pam Jackson Stewart ’69, co-chairs of the Parents Executive Committee, and Scott ’76 and Carol Pfeifer Strawn ’75.
