Karen manages the offices of publications, public relations, news services, sports information and new media. She also edits Wittenberg's 34,000-circulation alumni magazine and serves as university editor. In addition, she develops, writes and edits a variety of advancement- and admission-related publications.
Following her graduation from Wittenberg in 1993, Karen went on to earn her master's degree from the University of Missouri School of Journalism in 1998. A native of New Jersey, Karen lives in Springfield with her husband, John, a fellow 1993 graduate of Wittenberg, and their three daughters.
Ryan Maurer

Ryan is responsible for generating and effectively writing Wittenberg-related news and information. Ryan also directs and oversees the university's sports information operation, including all athletic news, publicity and promotional efforts.
A 1994 graduate of Miami University, Ryan holds a B.A. in English Literature/Journalism, as well as a master's degree in education/sports management from Cleveland State University. He lives in Springfield with his wife, Heather, and their sons, Joshua and Justin.

Bob leads the university's overall electronic communications efforts, including the development, design and management all content and digital media on the public facing side of Wittenberg Web site. This includes, in part, admissions and financial aid, University Advancement and Wittenberg's home page.
A 2002 graduate of Wittenberg, Bob earned his B.A. in political science. He has worked in the University Communications office since 2000 performing various Web and new media functions.
Carol Kneisley

Carol consults with and advises clients concerning university materials, designs and prepares their projects for production. In addition to training student designers, Carol oversees the production of athletic-related publications, several professional journals, the New Student Directory and the Campus Telephone Directory.
Carol joined the university in 1986 and has been with the Publications Office for 18 years. Carol and her husband Ted reside outside of West Liberty, Ohio.
Phyllis Eberts

Phyllis helps to facilitate all requests for publications and the distribution of materials. At the same time, she manages Wittenberg's online newsletter, provides content for the alumni magazine and assists with news services.
A 2000 graduate of Wittenberg with a B.A. in English, Phyllis lives in Springfield with her husband John.
Ross Ballinger
New Media Assistant for Interactive Communication

Ross creates and maintains interactive Web features on the Wittenberg Web site. He works primarily on developing video content for the Office of Admission, University Advancement and the main homepage. Ross was one of 3 road warriors in Wittenberg’s 3,000-mile summer alumni road trip in 2008.
A 2007 graduate of Wittenberg, Ross earned his B.A. in management. He has worked in the University Communications office since the Spring of 2008 performing various Web and new media functions.
Ben Bradley
Sports Information Intern

Ben assists in the production of all news pertaining to sports information and athletic department publications. He also serves as the Assistant Director of Broadcasting, and in conjunction with the “Voice of the Tigers”, Scott Leo, Bradley covers a wide range of Tiger athletic events on the student radio station 89.1 FM WUSO and on the Internet through the Wittenberg athletic website.
A 2007 graduate of Denison University, Ben joined the Wittenberg staff in 2008. He currently resides in Springfield.
