You’ve applied to Wittenberg and been accepted! Now you need to know what to do after paying your deposit.
Within a day or two after your tuition deposit is received by the Office of Admission, you will receive an e-mail from the Solution Center which will give you the information you need to know to log on to the portal.
IMPORTANT: please whitelist this e-mail address ahead of time so that e-mail does not go to your SPAM folder.
If you have any problems or questions about the log-in procedure or do not receive the e-mail, please contact Information Technology Services or 937.525.3801.
Starting Fall Semester:
The housing portion of the “To Do” list on the WittLink Portal will include a link to the housing survey and housing contract. After completing the housing survey, make sure to click the “Submit” button, after which the housing contract should appear. As long as you are 18 years of age, the housing contract is to be submitted electronically through the portal.
Your housing letter with your roommate assignment will be mailed to your home address in July or early August. Typically, transfer students are matched with another incoming transfer student or a current Wittenberg student in the same class.

Starting Spring Semester:
Connie Manes, our Residence Life Coordinator, will send you an email in December which will explain the housing process, ask a few roommate-related questions and ask for your top residence hall preferences.
The Room and Board contract will also be attached, which is where you choose a meal plan and complete a meningitis and hepatitis B vaccination statement.
Upon receipt of your completed contract, your housing assignment letter will be emailed to you as soon as possible after January 1. Typically, transfer students are matched with another incoming transfer student or a current Wittenberg student in the same class.

Math:
Everyone should take the math placement exam. If you’ve already taken math courses at another college or even if you don’t plan to take actual math courses at Wittenberg, you should still take the placement exam. See More…
You should be able to access the exam as soon as you you’re your deposit and become an officially registered Witt student. You take the exam through the WittLink Portal, using the “Placement Exams” link at the bottom of the left column. The exam is usually grades and the results are uploaded within two days. You can check for your result as early as the second day after you take it, using the “Degree Audit” link on the WittLink portal.

Foreign Language:
Students who have not studied Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Russian, or Spanish at the high school level or higher do not need to take a placement exam. See More…
Once you have made your deposit and receive a Wittenberg email account, you can take the foreign language placement exam through the WittLink Portal. After the placement exam is completed, the Foreign Languages department should be notified than an exam has been completed and is awaiting placement. As long as the department is notified that an electronic exam is waiting for review, the turn-around time is usually very brief. Once you have taken your placement tests you are can take the following steps to register for classes.
Make sure you have your final transcript sent to Witt as soon as your final grades from your previous college are complete. This is important for transfer credits to be granted.
If you would like to apply for need based Financial Aid, you will need to complete the following steps:
1. Submit an application for admission and be accepted by the university
2. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You can submit this form online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. List Wittenberg on the form by using Code 003143.
3. Forward a Financial Aid Transcript from all previously attended institutions to Wittenberg.
