An award-winning, architecturally beautiful building, Hollenbeck Hall serves as Wittenberg's humanities building. Officially opened on Jan. 10, 2000, Hollenbeck houses the departments of English, religion, languages, East Asian studies, history, philosophy, political science and women's studies as well as the international education/study abroad departments. Throughout the day a vast array of Wittenberg students and faculty bustle through the halls to reach the comforts of the spacious classrooms. Hollenbeck's facilities include a 24-hour computer lab. It is also home to the Math Workshop, the Writing Center and the Language computer lab. Both the Math Workshop and the Writing Center offer the services of peer tutors certified by the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA), an international organization that certifies effective college and university tutor training programs.
