• TRUDY FABER, professor of music, directed the Wittenberg HandBell Choir at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Fairborn. Faber also performed an organ and harpsichord recital for the recital series Music, Gettysburg! at the Gettysburg Lutheran Seminary, Oct. 18. The program included performances on a Keith Hill harpsichord and a three-manual tracker Andover organ.
• CATHY WAGGONER, professor of communication, is being recognized for her outstanding scholarship by the National Communication Association. The association’s Critical Cultural Studies Division is presenting its “Best Book Award” to Waggoner and her co-author, Helene Shugart of the University of Utah, for Making Camp: Rhetorics of Transgression in U. S. Popular Culture.
ANDREW SCHOLL, assistant professor of geography, presents "Reconstructing Nature: How We Can Determine What The Environment Looked Like In The Past" during the November Saturday Science program from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Nov. 14, in the Barbara Deer Kuss Science Center. Read more ...
 • DANIEL KAZEZ, cello, and DONALD BUSAROW, organ, professors of music, present a Faculty Artist Recital at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, Weaver Chapel. Olivia Guetle '12, cello, Rachel Lee '12, cello, and Janet Guetle BME ’82, piano, will accompany Kazez.
• ADAM MCCORD, adjunct instructor of music, directs the Wittenberg Jazz Band Concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, Ness Family Auditorium.
• JESSICA MCCORMACK, assistant professor of music, performed at the Fall Workshop of the Ohio Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing at Baldwin-Wallace College on Oct. 10. McCormack was selected to sing in the master class for American Art Song composer, Lori Laitman, at the workshop. McCormack was also the subject of an article titled "Stage: Beloved Soprano Jessica McCormack Returns Home to Perform in Opera New Brunswick's 'Topsy Turvy,' which appeared in the Telegraph Journal, Nov. 5. • ED HASECKE, associate professor of political science, advised that the Mock Trial Team competed at the Guardian Invitational Tournament at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy over fall break. "The team went 4-4 overall, much better than we expected from a group almost entirely comprised of freshmen, and considering the field of competition (Rutgers, Coast Guard, Air Force, University of Vermont, just to name a few). Congratulations especially go to Pat Deering and Courtney Webb who took tournament overall Best Attorney Awards."
• RAY DUDEK, assistant professor of chemistry, hosted the first Trivia Night at Founders, Nov. 4.
