Blair Hall, students will discover learning spaces
that inspire creativity and innovation. From
classrooms infused with high-tech features to
a welcoming tower for intimate conversations,
the new Blair Hall will strengthen community
partnerships, enhance global understanding
and exceed student expectations. Among its key features are:
- Its LEED certification as part of an internationally recognized green building certification system, meaning that the facility was designed and built with energy savings in mind.
- More than 21,000 square feet combining classrooms and laboratories to advance teacher-training
- A media editing room for enhanced understanding of real-world issues
- Intimate gathering spaces where students and education faculty can meet and collaborate outside traditional classroom confines
- A large conference area where students and faculty can meet with educational leaders and partners in Springfield and beyond
- Classrooms designed specifically for the teaching of education methodologies
- Full accessibility for those with physical needs
- A comfortable, inviting space complete with a welcoming lounge area in the facility’s newly restored tower
- 18 faculty offices, 6 classrooms, a seminar room, seminar room, work room and a fully integrated production room
