“There are so many awesome things to get involved in here at Wittenberg outside of academics such as joining the rugby team, which can make the college experience so much fun!”  – Jill Underwood ’12
Caring and supportive professors defined Jill Underwood’s college experience at Wittenberg.
“I became a chemistry major after my first general chemistry course at Wittenberg because my professor, Dr. Ray Dudek, talked me into it,” Underwood says. “After I did research here at Wittenberg, I knew I had picked the right major.”Â
Because of the liberal arts approach to education, Underwood also found herself taking a business class.
“My sophomore year after I had taken organizational behavior and financial accounting, I decided I really liked business, and my advisor, Professor Fenimore, helped me fit in a business major as well.” Â
Set to graduate with a double major in chemistry and business on May 12, Underwood already had a job waiting for her with Procter & Gamble.
“I will be working as a chemist for Advanced Testing Laboratory at Proctor and Gamble in Cincinnati,” she explains.
As she reflects on her last four years, Underwood thanks her parents for their love and support.
“My parents were very supportive of me during my time at Wittenberg, and I am very thankful for all of their help as I continued to change my mind on what I wanted to do post Wittenberg.
Underwood also sends a shout-out to her professors.
“Establishing good relationships with your professors helps make your learning experience so much more meaningful.” Â
