Wittenberg Hosts Annual Kiwanis -Wittenberg Holiday Men's and Women's Basketball Classic
It's that time again. The Christmas presents have been opened, and the New Year's champagne is on ice. Wittenberg Football Advances To NCAA Quarterfinals For Third Time In Last Four Years
The Wittenberg University Tigers, making their 10th appearance in the NCAA Division III playoffs and 11th appearance overall in postseason action, take to the road for a third straight week on Saturday to square off with defending national champion Mount Union College. Wittenberg Increases Levels For Clark County And Miami Valley Scholarships
Wittenberg University has made the Clark County and Miami Valley Scholarship program more attractive for this year's new student class by raising the scholarship from $5,000 per year to $7,500 annually. This new scholarship will reduce the cost of tuition by $30,000 for an undergraduate degree at the liberal arts and sciences university. Currently, annual tuition at Wittenberg is $22,680. National Public Health Leader Featured Wittenberg Series Speaker
Deborah B. Prothrow-Stith, a nationally recognized public health leader, will be a featured speaker during the 20th annual Wittenberg Series at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14. Her speech, "Deadly Consequences: Violence in American Society," is part of The Fred R. FIPSE Awards New Grant To Wittenberg To Improve P-12 Education
Wittenberg University has received a grant to help foster an innovative collaborative effort to improve teaching outcomes in real classrooms. The Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE) in the U.S. Department of Education, through its Comprehensive Program, has awarded a $205,485 grant to Wittenberg University for the projects connected with Wittenberg's new Master of Arts program and the Springfield-Wittenberg Teacher Institute. This $375,193 project is funded 55 percent by FIPSE, with the remaining 45 percent funded by Wittenberg University and other sources. Read More...

Steve Dawson Wins 200th Career Game As Men's Soccer Head Coach
Wittenberg University's 4-1 men's soccer victory over Wabash College on Wednesday, Oct. 17 in Crawfordsville, Ind. was a big win for the team, improving the Tigers to 10-4-1 overall and 4-2 in the North Coast Athletic Conference on the 2001 season. Chicago-area College Administrator To Become First Woman To Chair Wittenberg University Board
Ingrid S. Stafford, an alumna of Wittenberg University and an executive of Northwestern University, is making history at her liberal arts alma mater in Springfield, Ohio. Stafford has recently been elected chair of Wittenberg University's 36-member board of directors, the first woman to occupy that post in the school's 157-year history. Wittenberg Athletic Teams To Appear On Time Warner Cable In Dayton Area
Wittenberg University athletic teams will appear on Time Warner Cable in the Dayton area over the next few months, beginning with this week's football game on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 1 p.m. between the Tigers and the Allegheny College Gators at Edwards-Maurer Field in Springfield.
