July 27, 2001

Springfield, Ohio - Rajean Snow has been named Director of News Services at Wittenberg University, announced Jim Dexter, director of public relations.

Snow joins Wittenberg after nearly 13 years at The Children's Medical Center in Dayton.

At Children's she served as the media relations manager for nearly nine years and most recently as the physician marketing manager. Prior to that she was the communications specialist for the United States Air and Trade Show.

She has won many awards for writing and videotape productions, including a national writing award called the Touchstone by the American Society for Health Care Marketing and Public Relations.

In her role at Wittenberg, Snow will assist the director of public relations in planning and organizing news efforts by continuing to strengthen Wittenberg's relationships with local, regional and national media. Snow will also write feature length articles for university publications and monitor and update departmental web pages.

A native of Dayton, Ohio, Snow earned a B.A. in communications from Wright State University. Snow resides in Huber Heights with her two daughters Emily and Savannah.

Wittenberg University is consistently recognized as among the nation's leading liberal arts colleges. During the early 1990s, U.S. News and World Report's annual higher education surveys placed Wittenberg as the top liberal arts college in the Midwest (including first in academic reputation and faculty quality). More recently, the magazine has categorized Wittenberg as among the top national liberal arts institutions. Working together on one of America's most beautiful campuses, Wittenberg's nearly 150 full-time teaching faculty and more than 2,000 students form a thriving community of discovery, growth and fun.
