WITTENBERG NAMES STENBERG DIRECTOR OF MAJOR GIFTS

Springfield, Ohio - Wittenberg University recently appointed Richard W. Stenberg Director of Major Gifts in the Office of Advancement, announced Charles Dominick, vice president for university advancement.

Stenberg brings over 20 years of successful trust, investment management and wealth management experience to Wittenberg. He was most recently the director of the private financial group and senior trust officer with Huntington National Bank, Columbus, Ohio. Prior to that he served as the senior vice president, investment services for the Ameritrust Company, N.A., in Cleveland, Ohio.

Having served as an officer in the United States Navy at the beginning of his career, Stenberg has been affiliated with a variety of community organizations including the United Way, the Girl Scouts Seal of Ohio Council, the Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges and the YMCA of Lake County.

Stenberg will oversee the solicitation and completion of major gifts to Wittenberg University through identifying and cultivating potential donors. In his new role, Stenberg will organize reunion gift committees in support of annual fund goals and collaborate with other staff to design strategies to strengthen capital and endowment projects.

A graduate of Allegheny College in Pennsylvania, Stenberg attained a M.B.A. from Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio. Stenberg lives in Westerville with his family.
