Springfield, Ohio - Wittenberg University's department of theatre and dance will present the annual Fall Dance Concert at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 31 - Nov. 2 and 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3 in Chakeres Theatre, 905 Woodlawn Ave.
Under Artistic Director Shih-Ming Li Chang, this Wittenberg tradition brings together a unique selection of innovative, energized and dynamic performances that emphasize cultural identity.
The program will include a variety of dances, including a Chinese folk dance choreographed by Chang after an extensive trip to China last spring. Several interesting numbers have been choreographed in many different styles by the department's dance students. In addition, Tenna Custer, guest artist from The Ohio State University department of dance, has choreographed a hip-hop/modern piece for the Wittenberg Dance Company.
Tickets are $4 and are available in the Student Center Service Center or at the door. Call (937) 327-7443 to reserve tickets.
