Alumna Recital To Be Held at Wittenberg University

Springfield, Ohio - Music at Wittenberg will present alumna Dianne Frank Williams, flutist, in a free recital at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3 in Krieg Hall on campus.

Accompanied by Diane Slagle, pianist, Williams' program will include a number of familiar hymns and folk songs she has co-arranged.

After graduating from Wittenberg in 1996, Williams has earned her master's degree in music performance at the University of Akron and has won several competitions. She is associate flutist and piccolo player with several professional symphony orchestras including Columbus, Akron, Canton, Ashland, Mansfield, Wheeling and Tuscarawas.

Currently, Williams operates a studio of more than 20 private flute students and performs regularly in solo recitals throughout Ohio. She has recently recorded her second CD, "Tinsel," a holiday collection.
