SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - Two free concerts featuring several music ensembles will be presented on the campus of Wittenberg University.

The Wittenberg University Symphonic Band, under the direction of Tom Kennedy, associate professor of music, will present its fall concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 16, in Room 100 of Krieg Hall, at the corner of Ward Street and Woodlawn Avenue.

The program will include music by Frank Tichell, Johannes Brahms, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Meredith Willson and Stephen Melillo.

The Wittenberg Flute Choir and Chamber Ensembles, directed by Lori Akins and Richard York, adjunct instructors of music, will perform at 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 17, in Room 300 of Krieg Hall.

The Symphonic Band draws membership from Wittenberg students, faculty and staff, as well as musicians from the Springfield and surrounding communities. Anyone interested in joining the band for future performance can contact Kennedy at (937) 327-7358. F
