SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - Music at Wittenberg will present two concerts this weekend.
The Wittenberg Symphonic Band will perform at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 29, in the Kenton Ridge High School Auditorium, 4444 Middle Urbana Road. The concert will mark the premiere performance of the new timpani and will feature the "Concerto for Timpani and Band," arranged by Tom Kennedy, conductor and associate professor of music.
At 3 p.m. Sunday, March 30, in Weaver Chapel, the Wittenberg Chamber Orchestra, Tom Kennedy, conductor, will be joined by the Wittenberg Chamber Singers, Joyce Wendel, director and associate professor of music. The program will include a performance of "Gloria" by Vivaldi, and will also feature Dan Zehringer, adjunct instructor of music, trumpet, and Lisa Grove, English horn, performing "Quest" by Copeland.
