SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - Music at Wittenberg will present two concerts this weekend in Weaver Chapel on campus.
The Wittenberg Chamber Singers, under the direction of Joyce Wendel, associate professor of music, will perform its debut concert at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 5. Wittenberg's newest choral ensemble will perform the Vivaldi "Gloria," Cantate Domino (Croce) and works by Handel, Brahms, Stephen Foster and Sir Arthur Sullivan. The Chamber Singers are accompanied by Diane Slagle, adjunct instructor of music, piano, and sophomore Brad Hall, organ. Soloists include Roxanne MacLaughlin and Mary Jo Groves.
A Faculty Artist Recital at 4 p.m., Sunday, April 6, will feature Trudy Faber, organ and harpsichord, performing works by J.S. Bach, Franz Liszt, Rameau, Marianne von Martinez and Olivier Messiaen.
