Winter Music Classes Will Be Offered
At Wittenberg University

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — Wittenberg University's Center for Musical Development (CMD) announces winter music classes for children and adults.

Discovering Music for Children ages 3-5 will meet from 5:30 - 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday for eight weeks beginning Jan. 19. This class is designed to begin the young child's exploration of the world of music. Singing, rhythms, stories, craft projects and an introduction to the sounds and shapes of instruments are some of the activities planned for the class in which parents are invited to participate.

Beginning Piano for Kids in grades 1-3 will meet from 5:30 - 6:15 p.m. on eight Wednesdays beginning Jan. 19. Students will learn to read music and musical notation, find keyboard landmarks and play rhythms and simple pieces.

Voice Class for High School and Adults will meet from 7 - 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday for eight weeks beginning Jan. 18. Students will learn how to sing properly, including diction and warm up exercises.

CMD also offers private instruction in piano, organ, guitar, strings, winds, brass and percussion to students of all ages and levels of playing.
