Senior dance minors will share their final projects in a show titled “Breakthrough” this weekend. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 28 and 29, with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, April 30, in Chakeres Memorial Theatre. “The Old and the New,” a joint concert by Wittenberg Jazz Combo, directed by Jay Koupal, adjunct instructor of music, and Wittenberg Symphonic Band, under the direction of Milton Allen, adjunct instructor of music, will be featured at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 30, in Weaver Chapel.
At 6 p.m. in Krieg Hall, Wittenberg Opera Studio will present two comic one-act operas, under the direction of Kenneth Scheffel, associate professor and chair of music, with accompaniment by Diane Slagle, piano. The operas are “A Game of Chance” by Seymour Barab, and “The Impresario” by W.A. Mozart, in honor of 250th anniversary of his birth.
