Wittenberg University Women's A Cappella Group Just Eve Performs Holiday Concerts

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Just Eve, Wittenberg’s female a cappella group, will perform its annual holiday concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, in Ness Family Auditorium in Hollenbeck Hall.

The 14-member group has been practicing rigorously for the upcoming concert.

“It’s always exciting this time of year. It gets a little hectic near exams, but we all love to perform with the group,” said Just Eve President Devon Bergum, class of 2007 from Northfield, Minn. “It’s a lot of work, but it’s without a doubt worth it.”

Group members also include Leslie Wells, class of 2007 from Findlay, Ohio, Abby Hurt, class of 2007 from Findlay, Ohio, Meredith Deitsch, class of 2007 from Fairview Park, Ohio, Kimie James, class of 2007 from Richmond, Va., Meredith Bartlett, class of 2007 from Findlay, Ohio, Kathryn Jablonowski, class of 2007 from Medina, Ohio, Kaleigh Lockhart, class of 2008 from Florence, S.C., Hannah Holmes, class of 2008 from LaGrange Park, Ill., Katie Hubert, class of 2009 from Louisville, Ky., Rebekah Anthony, class of 2009 from East Liberty, Ohio, Amanda Wells, class of 2009 from Findlay, Ohio, and Leanna Stansell, class of 2010 from Hilliard, Ohio.

Concert repotoire includes a balance of secular and traditional music.

“For seven of us, this will be our last holiday concert with the group, so this concert will be one to be remembered,” said Jablonowski.

Tickets are on sale for $2 in the Benham-Pence Student Center. They will also be sold at the door prior to each concert.
