SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — Students in the Wittenberg University Department of Theatre and Dance swing into action this weekend with performances of Fast Girls, described as a provocative comedy by Diana Amsterdam. Performances of Fast Girls will take place at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Feb. 9 and 10, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, in Blair Hall Theatre.

Directed by Nick Arsena, class of 2007 from Hudson, Ohio, Fast Girls is the story of Lucy, a single woman with a healthy sexual appetite. Lucy’s mother proclaims that no man will marry Lucy, who then accepts the challenge, vowing to marry her brawny ex-boyfriend. The Tribune News says, “Fast Girls takes a penetrating look at contemporary sexual chaos. Passion, celibacy, marriage and fidelity are just some of the issues that Diana Amsterdam hilariously examines.”

Jamie Daugherty, class of 2007 from Springfield, Ohio, Kaleigh Lockhart class of 2008 from Florence, SC, Rebekah Weiner, class of 2007 from Solon, Ohio, Evan Smith, class of 2009 from Bloomfield Hills, Mich., and David Kabbes, class of 2010 from Springfield, Ohio, star in this studio production.

Admission is free, and the shows are open to the public. Tickets are not required, but seating is limited in Blair Hall Theatre.
